Our Program

We have pioneered a program that combines excellent instruction with a forward thinking syllabus. Here is how our program works. A student pilot enrolls with NPA and in 4 months becomes an FAA Certified Flight Instructor. At the end of 16 months this same student is ready for career employment with a corporate or regional airline as a fully qualified pilot with 1,100 hours of logged flight time. Our training efficiency is possible because we consider the process of becoming a pilot a full-time endeavor.

Combining our extensive experience in flight education with a careful analysis of other flight schools, we are confident that we stand alone in our approach to flight training. At NPA we keep pace with the flying industry, not with other training programs. National averages for obtaining the Certified Flight Instructor CFI rating takes two to four years, and then to become a pilot eligible to submit an application typically requires another four to eight years. So how can we at NPA achieve such amazing results in such a short time? Our accelerated training program relies on three strategic elements.

First, we operate eight-hour training days combining “one-on-one” classroom and flight instruction. During training phases your assigned instructor and plane are dedicated only to you, giving you the personalized training you deserve while allowing you to progress through the program in an accelerated manner.

Second, other flight schools fail to provide an efficient method for advancing pilots from a CFI status to airline eligibility in a timely manner. To be eligible the CFI requires additional logged hours of flight time. We have solved this problem by hiring our own graduates thus providing them the means for both earning money as an instructor as well as logging the required hours. NPA’s pay package for our flight instructors is the most attractive in the industry. Our full-time approach to flight training gets you your first pilot job in a matter of months rather than years, and being a full-time instructor means you'll be taking home a full-time pay check!

Third, we prepare you for the hiring process by teaching interviewing and presentation skills and plugging you into our network of airline affiliates. Our Corporate and Regional Airline connections are waiting to hire our graduates. In fact, we have placed 100% of our graduates within their careers!

At NPA, our training program truly is unique because the syllabus is designed to guarantee your success. We have planned for everything from your first day of instruction to what to wear to your hiring interview.
