Press Release

10/31/05
Southwest Airlines is adding 49 new flights across the U.S., with half beginning November 12 and the other half February 5, 2006.

The first round includes a number of new flights from New Orleans, including two daily roundtrips to Dallas Love Field, Texas, Nashville, Tennessee, Orlando, Florida and Tampa Bay, Florida. New flights will also be offered from Las Vegas, Nevada, with daily roundtrips operating to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Providence, Rhode Island, Spokane, Washington and St. Louis, Missouri.

New routes beginning February 5, 2006 include two additional daily roundtrips between Oakland and San Diego, California and an additional daily roundtrip between Kansas City, Missouri and Tampa, Florida. Southwest says the expansion is due to increasing demand from passengers for more flights, who it says are traveling at "record rates".
